Explosives
and weapons logistics - Threat Resolution Ltd
Within it's
definition, explosive logistics includes the management, transportation and
storage of explosives and ammunition. Identifying solutions to these three
logistical elements usually requires investigation into local (national)
legislation and the development of regulations, procedures and training
programs to satisfy this legislation. In remote and post conflict situations
improvisation is often necessary which demands the adopting of explosive
consequence analysis techniques. Experience demonstrates that explosive
logistic solutions can be rapidly developed that meet both UN and NATO
principles using regulations from those agencies and corroborated by software
modelling and consequence analysis techniques.
WHA capabilities include the development of ammunition /
ordnance handling procedures, training programs, safety and quality programs
and inventory control. These services offered can be conducted in high-threat
and post conflict environments.
Explosives transportation
The official and original
ADR (Accord European sur le transport des marchendises pare route) is
considered to be the Bible for the transportation of explosives and ammunition
by road. Driver training programs and the development of temporary and
permanent national regulations should be based upon this
publication.
Explosives Storage
Capabilities include the
design, development and documentation of permanent and temporary explosives and
ammunition storage facilities. Additionally local or national regulations and
procedures that fully cover the technical, administrative and security aspects
can be developed.
Explosives, Ammunition &
Weapons Management
The capability exists to
design and develop ammunition logistics management systems including
regulations to UN and NATO standards. Using the associate consultants network
this capability includes:
- the design and production of
computer software solutions.
- management, security and
accounting issues.
- researching and evaluation local
security threats and developing appropriate mitigation solutions.
Regulations which have been
previously developed incorporate a safe system of work which is achieved
through the application of Risk Management techniques designed to minimize
hazards from incidents and accidents.
