Services offered range from surveys of Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) or explosive contaminated ground to EOD training and technical procedures development.

Threat assessment

Threat assessment from UXO is the primary step towards the development of solutions that defeat or minimize that threat. Whether the perceived danger is from UXO in an oil exploration area or a specific explosive threat, the initial threat assessment provides the key to Risk Management. A considerable array of skills and effective techniques has been developed to aid assessment including geophysical survey and historical research.

Explosive Remnants of War

Explosive Remnants of War (EROW), unexploded ordnance, - has been with us since the earliest use of explosive devices in armed conflict. UXO, munitions that may be a legacy of conflict invariably generate humanitarian concerns. Explosive remnants of war is a special interest area of William Hunt Associates who posses the capability to facilitate both desktop and field investigative surveys. [Background on EROW].

Operational needs analysis

The needs of an EOD organization should be based upon the threat assessment. Applying this base data the operational requirements of an EOD organization can be justified, designed and developed to defeat the threat. Operational requirements include a structured organization, communications, team composition and equipment levels.

Training

Training in dealing with chemical filled UXO.Effective and appropriate training is a cornerstone of effective response and pre-emptive clearance EOD operations. Training must be based upon the assessed threat but tempered with resources that are available to EOD personnel.

WHA is experienced in dealing with the full spectrum of EOD operations including containment and destruction of chemical weapon systems.

We are able to advise on training requirements and standards and also develop training courses, regulations and technical procedures.
